Cowboy Mounted Shooting
The Congress Classic Shootout will be held Sunday, October 29th beginning at 7:30 am. Exhibitors will compete in this timed event in which they guide their horses through a designated pattern while shooting two .45 caliber single-action revolvers (loaded with specially prepared blank ammunition) and attempt to shoot as many balloons as possible, all while wearing old west-style period attire.
On Sunday, October 29th, the Shootout will begin at 7:00 am with a mandatory safety meeting in the Celeste Center. At 7:30 am the event will begin with the first shot in the Celeste Center for the first course. Exhibitors will then move on to the second course, beginning at 8:00 am in the Buckeye Arena. There will be a cash payback, 24 class buckles as well as two 3D jackpots with 100% payback.
CMSA Adult - $150, plus $15 office/ground fee
CMSA Senior - $150, plus $15 office/ground fee
AQHA - $150 CMSA Wrangler - $50
Jackpot - $20/each stage
*Please note that all horses must have a stall. Stalls are $50 per night. CMSA dress code will be required. Pre-entries are due by October 1st. No entries will be taken the day of the event. Entries can be made at www.CowboyMountedShooting.com.

Equestrians with Disabilities Class Rules
Equestrians with Disabilities classes are open to people with physical or mental disabilities who love to compete on American Quarter Horses. In order to participate an exhibitor must have a medically diagnosed condition that causes a permanent impairment that can be measured objectively. Equestrians with Disabilities Classes will follow AQHA/NSBA Guidelines and rules for eligibility for showing.
Heroes on Horses Class Rules
The Congress will offer a special event “Heroes On Horses” to honor our service men and women and the horses helping them heal. Riders in PATH Intl. Equine Services for Heroes programs are invited to participate in the All American Quarter Horse Congress “Heroes on Horses” competition.
Exhibitors must be disabled veterans or active duty “wounded warriors” who are participating in PATH Intl. Equine Services for Heroes programs or who have a Department of Veteran Affairs disability rating. The PATH facility will be responsible for verifying the eligibility of riders participating in Equine Services for Heroes programs. Horses do not need to be registered or owned by the rider or facility.

Small Fry Class Rules
A. Entries are limited to exhibitors nine years of age and younger as of
B. Exhibitors must be AQHA members.
C. Horses must meet AQHA ownership requirements.
D. Small Fry exhibitors may not cross enter into any other classes outside of
the Small Fry Division, with the exception of Halter.
E. Gaits in the arena are limited to the walk and jog/trot.
F. Exhibitors are required to have appropriate attire and tack.
Working Hunter Warm-Up Rules

A. Working Hunter Warm-Up classes will be held in the Celeste Center on Saturday, October 14th.
B. Exhibitors must enter the Warm-Up class as a regular Congress class.
C. Entries will work in draw order.
D. One Open Warm-Up entry per horse will be permitted and the horse must be entered in an Open over fence class.
E. One Non Pro Warm-Up entry per horse will be permitted and the horse must be entered in a Non-Pro Over Fence class.
F. Warm-Up classes will not be placed and will offer no awards.
G. Open over fence schooling will be available in the Buckeye Arena.
H. No schooling will be available in the Celeste Center, other than the Warm-Up classes.
