October 7 Award Winner
Trainer Bobby Dean has helped Cindy and Cory Conrad in immeasurable ways. "My special needs son has gained so much confidence while working with Bobby. It has also helped him with his core strength, and he has used his riding for therapeutic purposes. Bobby has taught him never to give up. My son Cory looks up to him not only as a trainer but as a mentor and friend," Cindy remarked. "Bobby has a heart of gold."
For Cindy, she had never ridden before until the age of 49. Trainer Bobby Dean got her started riding, and now she's hooked. "His guidance has given me so much self-worth and self-confidence."
Bob always puts his clients first and gives them all excellent guidance. "He takes his time with them and with the horses. While working with my son and me, he has the patience of a saint."
A special memory for Cindy and her family was when Bobby agreed to help make her son Cory's dream of showing at the All American Quarter Horse Congress a reality. "No other trainers he has had in the past would ever give him a chance, but when we met Bobby, he said, "Let us get him ready."
In 2019, Bobby, Cory, and the horse, Chip, were Reserve Champion in Trail in the EWD Supported Class. "Bobby left the arena and said, "I am trying so hard not to cry," and I told him to go ahead and that we will cry with you!"
