The Freestyle Reining, presented by dac, returned to the Coliseum on October 8, ever the crowd-favorite! The Freestyle Reining is on every Congress must-see list and was sold out once again. With 18 entries, the event featured a variety of riders and routines.
Taking home the Congress Bronze in the open division was Keith Ceddia and Xtra Dun Step for owner Jerry Douglas! Keith performed a JAWS-themed routine complete with a rendition of Baby Shark!
Winning the Reserve Congress Champion title was Luke Gingerich and Tinseltowns Whizard! Luke rode his 5 year old mare that he started under saddle at liberty and has never found the need to use a bridle on.
In the Non Pro division, Kevin Raber and Star Spangled Star took home the win for owner Verl Warnimont! Kevin performed a cow-horse themed routine that included loading his horse into the bed of a truck!
Taking home the Reserve Champion title was Katsy Flarida and Gunners Money for owner Fritz Leeman! Katsy performed a Scooby-Doo routine complete with a mystery machine!
Placing third in the non pro was Jacob Kamm and Oakies Poco Chloe for owner Whitney Kamm.
