New Health Requirements for 2026

New for 2026, all horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI/Health Certificate) issued within thirty (30) days prior to arrival. This requirement applies to all horses entering the grounds, including those originating within Ohio. All horses, regardless of state of origin, also must provide proof of a negative Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA/Coggins) test dated within twelve (12) months prior to arrival. The Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and EIA (Coggins) test must accurately identify each horse and include the horse’s registered name (if applicable), markings, and any other identifying information required by state or federal animal health regulations.

All required health documentation must be reviewed and approved by Congress Management before back numbers will be issued. OQHA and the All American Quarter Horse Congress reserve the right to withhold back numbers, deny participation, refuse entry to competition areas, quarantine, and/or require removal of any horse that fails to meet health requirements or is reasonably suspected of posing a health risk to other horses on the grounds.
